I stayed at Grace Manor during my performance in York with Center Stage Opera Company. The Asian suite has an incredible river stone shower and an ornately carved bed unlike any I've ever slept in. We put the oh la' la' and Ca c' est bon in this French-inspired four-room suite with a private bath and kitchenette. A perfect setting for romance, an exhale retreat, or an extended business stay. The suite features 10 foot ceilings, ornate mantles, Corinthian columns, pocket doors, exquisite lighting fixtures and professionally faux-painted rooms by Jenn Matthews of Creations by Jenn.

Highlights of this suite include:

Parisian Parlor

Cascades of colorfully sculptured metal flowers adorn the five-foot chandelier discovered on a trip to New Orleans' French Quarters. A daybed with mounds of pillows is perfect for lounging and watching movies.

Moulin Rouge Oval Sitting Room

Behind the curved door a commissioned mural by York artist David Lynch transports guests to the era of Toulouse Lautrec. A leopard print chaise lounge straddles the windows, enticing guests to become voyeurs to the bustling street below.

Gentleman’s Lounge

An equestrian-themed room with a decadent chocolate brown ceiling that melts into striking faux walls reminiscent of ancient ruins. A queen-size Victorian bed waits to envelop you. Deep rich cherry bookcases flank the walls, a frosted glass chandelier, cow hide rug and, of course horses complete the mood.

Country French Kitchen

Walls drenched in faux paint resemble an old plastered Provencal manor. A rooster prances on top of a farmhouse armoire with doors incased in chicken wire, and an iron rooster chandelier perches high above a farm table.

Bath

Shabby chic meets art deco. A county French sink with marble top, a shower for two and a deep soaking vintage claw foot tub are just a few of the amenities in this luxurious bath.
